TIME & SPACE to EXPERIENCE ~ LEARN ~ GROW
Instructor: Eloise Shelton-Mayo
Sunday, February 6 – 12:00-3:00pm $70.00
Join us for a workshop that explores the fascinating medium of oil & cold
wax on Arches oil paper. Because of the cold wax, the oil paint dries much
faster than traditional oil paint. I’ll show and bring some oil stick, pan pastel
and metal leaf to try on paper. It’s a BLAST.
Some materials are provided including: cold wax, wedges, Gamsol, tissue
paper, gloves and mark-making materials, stencils & more.
Participants bring oil paint in basic colors: white, red, ultramarine blue,
medium yellow and black, 9” x 12” Arches oil paper, palette knife, freezer
paper or palette paper, Bring apron or old shirt, card board and painter’s
tape to attach your paper to cardboard or foam core from Dollar Tree or
cardboard from Lidl or other free sources. Wet Wipes are great for
cleaning tools and hands. I will provide
wedge, but you may like to have one. My
fave is Messermeister wedge (Amazon).
