Ann M. Moore

Ann Moore has been painting and drawing full time since her retirement from university teaching and administration.  She also makes jewelry, some of which is on display in the gallery.  Though her paintings are primarily in oils and watercolors, she continues to explore other media including acrylics, pastels and pen and ink.  She is grateful to have found a supportive and encouraging artistic community in the Tidewater Area and hopes never to stop learning and growing.  Among the works selected to appear in shows in the Norfolk area are studies based on her trips to Sénégal, Italy, various cities in the United States, and the endlessly varied waterscapes of the Tidewater area.  Her favorite subjects are studies of people captured in a colorful moment of their daily routines.
